Students utilize Pattern Shapes to delve into geometry and fractions, engaging in the creation of their own designs or the completion of provided outlines. Through interaction with these shapes, students investigate geometric relationships, ponder angles, explore symmetry, and assemble/disassemble larger shapes. Many of these exploratory activities naturally prompt considerations of fractions as integral parts of a whole.

This digital adaptation of pattern blocks serves as an open-ended educational instrument particularly suited for elementary classrooms and other educational settings employing iPads.  <li>Rotate shapes in 15-degree increments.</li>
 <li>Utilize the protractor tool to measure angles.</li>
 <li>Duplicate shapes, altering their color and size.</li>
 <li>Fill built-in outlines with shapes or devise custom designs for sharing.</li>
 <li>Select between triangular or square grids, or opt for a plain background.</li>
 <li>Conceal and reveal work using resizable covers to frame problems and model strategies.</li>
 <li>Annotate work and demonstrate understanding with the drawing tools.</li>
 <li>Incorporate equations, expressions, and descriptions utilizing the math text and writing tools.</li>
 <li>Share work by saving images or offering others a share code.</li>
